Track Carriers Voyages From A to Z

Follow Every Step of Any Carrier's Journey

The "Current Status" column in the Import & Export Flows table offers detailed updates on the status of a carrier's journey.

There are a total of six distinct statuses that a carrier can have: Expected, Loading, In Transit, Arriving, Discharging, and Completed.

  1. Expected: The carrier has not yet arrived at the cargo’s place of origin. This status indicates that the carrier is still on its way to the port of origin. For a vessel it might also mean that she is in the port, but is waiting to be berthed. It signifies that the cargo's journey has not yet begun.
  2. Loading: Loading operations have started. At this stage, the cargo is being transferred into the carrier. Loading can take some time, depending on the size and nature of the cargo.
  3. In Transit: The carrier has embarked on its voyage towards its destination. This status means that the carrier is en route and actively moving towards its intended port of arrival.
  4. Arriving: The carrier is nearing its destination. For a vessel, this means that she has reached the destination port but is yet to be berthed. The arrival status indicates that the carrier is in the vicinity of the designated port and will soon be ready for the next phase of the process.
  5. Discharging: The carrier has arrived and is prepared for cargo discharge operations. This status denotes that the carrier has successfully reached its destination port and is ready to unload the cargo.
  6. Completed: Cargo discharging operations are completed. This final status signifies the successful completion of the cargo unloading process. It indicates that all the cargo has been safely and efficiently discharged from the carrier, marking the end of its journey. At this point, the cargo is typically handed over to the designated party or undergoes further processing or distribution as required.
Throughout the import and export flows, these distinct statuses provide valuable insights into the progress and whereabouts of the carrier and its cargo. Monitoring the status updates enables stakeholders to track and manage the transportation process effectively, ensuring timely delivery and efficient logistics operations.
